Curious about how things work since I was 12, and still rebuilding them from scratch to find out. Happiest where software, hardware and AI meet. Based in HK, Tech Lead by day (and often nights) for Advanced Trading at MetaMask. Nights and weekends: on-device AI, trading algorithms, a home lab, and Farmslot, my own AI software factory.

What I work on

  • Audio processing, everywhere. Audiolab: open-source audio code for recording, analysis and on-device speech. Same audio code on iOS, Android and the web. Audiolab packages run natively on iOS and Android through React Native, and the same code runs in the browser via WebAssembly.
  • Local inference. Models that run on the phone or on my own hardware, so the data never has to leave. Privacy matters to me, especially working around blockchain.
  • Trading and algorithms. I ran my own blockchain nodes for years, including an Ethereum validator. Today it's a read-only Hyperliquid node, there for the fastest execution of my automated trading strategies. I've built more of those than I've written about; more here once I find the bandwidth.
  • Hardware lab. A Hong Kong bench for embedded audio, and a four-Spark cluster for my own coding models and anything that doesn't fit on a phone.

  • Farmslot: my own AI software factory: a supervised workflow for running AI coding agents in parallel.
  • EchoBridge: local-first meeting recording, transcription and speaker history via voiceprints. Open source release planned for December 2026.
